Agritourism in Tuscany with pool. Guests Comments.

Auch dieses Jahr haben wir 2 wunderschöne Ferienwochen auf dem Agriturismo verbracht! An den Strand gehen, Städte besichtigen, auf Märkte gehen und einfach einmal nichts tun und am schönen Pool entspannen, was will man mehr! Wir haben neue Restaurants entdeckt in der Umgebung mit feiner toscanischer Küche, unwiderstehlich! Unsere Kinder sind am Abend jeweils mitgegangen die Tiere zu füttern, es hat jetzt sogar 3 Esel, die versorgt werden wollen. Und gleich bei Ankunft hat uns Argo, der neue Hund begrüsst. Es ist ein Hirtenhund, und da er keine Schafe bewachen kann, bewacht er halt die Gäste im Ferienhaus! Wir haben 2 Wochen lang mit ihm gespielt, unsere Kinder vermissen ihn jetzt noch. Die Familie Matteucci hat uns wieder einen warmen Empfang bereitet und uns während den ganzen Ferien mit guten Tipps versorgt. Beim Brotholen am Morgen beim fahrenden Bäcker hat uns die Nonna immer das Wetter genauestens vorhergesagt! Unser älterer Sohn hat sich eine Hängematte im Wald aufgehängt und hat darin seine Lesepausen verbracht, wir haben uns alle bestens erholt und unsere Batterien wider aufgeladen inmitten einer intakten Natur in einem wunderschönen Ferienhaus. Nochmals besten Dank der Familie Matteucci für die vielen feinen Gemüse aus dem Garten und die Herzlichkeit jeden Tag!

It's not as good as on the pictures, it's even better!
We stayed a week at the end of June 2012 at la Serra. It was a fantastic week. La Serra is a wonderful place in the western part of Tuscany. It's very nice on the coutryside just where the hills beginns. La Serra is just perfect. The appartements and houses are very nice. Everything was in very good condition. The family Matteucci was very kind and service minded. And the best of it all, the pool!

Im Sommer 2011 durften wir mit unseren zwei kleinen Mädels absolut schöne Ferien im Agriturismo La Serra verbringen. Schon als wir ankamen, wurden wir herzlich empfangen - mit einem Espresso auf der Terrasse und einem süßen Hund, der uns um die Beine strich. Und einer ganzen Familie, die uns buchstäblich in ihre Arme schloss. Die Kinder wurden bekuschelt und verwöhnt, und mehr als ein Mal bekam unsere Lilly Leckereien von Nonno und Nonna, sei es von den Tomatensträuchern, sei es aus der Keksdose. Wunderschön natürlich auch das Anwesen selbst, die weitläufige Anlage, der tolle Pool, alles super-sauber. Sehr interessant, praktisch und toll renoviert und restauriert die ehemaligen landwirtschaftlichen Gebäude, die nun Appartementhäuser sind und für Familien ideal. Fazit: absolut empfehlenswert. Und, wie sagte Stefania: "È subito nato un feeling!"

Wir freuen uns auf die Rückkehr!
Wir waren 2 Wochen auf dem Agriturismo La Serra, es waren absolut geniale Ferien, wir haben uns super erholt. Zuerst gibt es einen herzlichen Empfang mit allen Informationen, dann erwartet einen ein wunderbar gepflegtes Haus, gross, sauber, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Anwesen ist riesig, man kann sich zurückziehen, entspannen, am grossen Pool liegen, Ping Pong spielen, auf einer riesigen Wiese Federball oder Fussball spielen, Geissen füttern, auf eigenen! Wegen auf dem Grundstück über eine Stunde wandern mit Karte, Enten füttern, den grossen Garten bewundern, Tiere beobachten. Für kleine Kinder hat es einen Spielplatz, die Familie Matteucci liebt Kinder, unsere 2 Jungs waren herzlich willkommen. Das Anwesen hat eine super Lage für Ausflüge in die toskanischen Städte, wir waren in Pisa und sonst hauptsächlich am Meer. In Tirrenia hat es schöne öffentliche Strände, wir sind aber viel ein bisschen weiter gefahren zur Marina di Vecchiana. Ein absoluter Traumstrand, 200 Meter breit feiner Sand. Nach dem baden haben wir es genossen, wieder weg vom Rummel ins Agriturismo zurückzukehren, die Gegend dort ist absolut ruhig und nicht touristisch, in den Restaurants und beim Einkaufen rund um Cenaia wird man sehr freundlich bedient, keine Massentourismus-Abfertigung, sondern noch echte Gastfreundschaft mit schönen Begegnungen, wir haben sehr fein gegessen.
Für uns ist klar, da gehen wir nächstes Jahr wieder hin, wir haben leider auch schon anderes erlebt (im Internet fein, vor Ort schrecklich...) Diesen Agriturismo bei dieser Familie kann ich bestens empfehlen, es ist genauso (oder sogar besser) als im Internet beschrieben. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf die Familie Matteucci, besonderen Dank geht auch an die Nonna, sie hat uns jeden Morgen beim fahrenden Bäcker super Tipps gegeben.

A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!
This is a perfect place to stay for exploring the rich cultural history of Pisa and its surrounding villages. The location is stunning enough to want to spend hours idling away by the beautiful pool while near enough to several centres of historical and cultural interest to ensure we never felt bored. Our hosts were absolutely charming and helpful and very willing to share a very warm and truly Italian approach to entertaining and hospitality. This was a delightful holiday experience and we very much hope to return

A beautiful place to stay with wonderfully welcoming hosts, close to Pisa, PERFECT for families with children!
We atayed at Agriturismo La Serra for three nights this spring. The setting is beautiful, and the apartment we had was spacious, very clean, and well equipped. Although it was too cold outside to take advantage of it during the time we were there, the swimming pool looked very inviting. The best thing about La Serra was how friendly and welcoming Stefania and her family were to us as our hosts, especially to our young children. Stefania even made a birthday cake for our younger daughter, who celebrated her eighth birthday while we were in Italy. La Serra is peaceful and quiet, yet very convenient to Pisa, Lucca, the coast, and to Pisa's airport. We had no trouble making a 725 am flight on the day of our departure. We would happily recommend Agriturismo La Serra to anyone looking for accommodations near Pisa, and we hope to be able to return one day. We had a wonderful experience there!

We were 5 years ago at La Serra, La Carreira with my 88-year-old mother and our little poodle Mucki. It was just fantastic. The view of the vineyards, olive trees and, not least correspond exactly to the beautiful large swimming pool. The images .. the reality and leave nothing to be enjoyed particularly good for us the very kind of family contact Matteucci We thank you today, my mother does not speak Italian and Ms. Matteucci no German, but the two have maintained excellent.) what also always! We learn such a rare warmth and we will surely come again.

La Serra is a very tranquil place where you can really enjoy the Italian summer, the estate is well maintained and the family is very friendly. We stayed in La Carraia with our 2 month old baby girl and the shaded terrace with view on the garden and swimming pool was perfect for us since we could enjoy the pool while keeping an eye on our daughter.
The house and estate are exactly as pictured on the website so no (bad) surprised and the family is available for questions and practical issues (which do happen with a newborn baby...).
What’s funny is that at the same time when looking for a holiday home in January, we were also still looking for a girl’s name that me and my wife both agreed upon. And so by getting in touch with Elisa to arrange the booking, we learned that both of us liked Elisa as a name to give to our daughter. And so both of them met each other in June.

Staying at La Serra in Villa La Casina with our family of six at the end of august 2010 was wonderful. We experienced serenity during our stay and enyoyed the privacy and the Tuscan weather. When you are used to the italian way of driving, you will easily find your way on the Fl-Pi-Li highway. The beaches of Tirrenia near Pisa and the beautiful cities Firenze, Lucca, Siena (full of people and medieval folklore due to the Palio at august, 16th) are not too far away and several local authenthic villages are quite near. The swimming pool was excellent and quiet, the kids loved it. We also enyoyed making some nice bike trips to Lari, Crespina en Casciana Therme on the beautiful but sometimes steepy hills of Toscane and did of lot of running on the hills of Ceppaiano.
Our hosts were nice and made us feel at home and welcomed us with home-brewed marmelade, wine and honey.

Just wanted to say what lovely time we had with family at Matteucci La Serra!! We stayed in the Apartment Elisa, which still had the typical restored Tuscan style ceiling throughout the entire apartment. It had exactly everything that we needed even a baby bed as well as a high chair for our 8 month old son. It was also super clean and well-maintained. The property was decorated with Olive Groves just beyond the pool. The owners even make their own olive oil and wine. It is also secured with a gate and fence, which gave me a peace of mind safetywise. It was so quiet and peaceful in the evening and into the night; you could even hear the frogs and other little noisemakers of nature at night. Haven't heard those noises since I was a kid! One of the highlights for my son was the family dog, Artu. This was the sweetest kid friendly dog I have ever met. My son and Artu were 2 peas in pod!! Another highlight was that the property was situated very close to Pisa, which was perfect for all the touring that we did throughout Tuscany. Thank you thank you again to the Matteucci family and La Serra for being a part of our memorable and fantastic trip to Tuscany, Italy. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting the same experience!!

Interested in a vacation in the Tuscan countryside? Well, we think we can recommend a perfect location to do this. This summer was, again, a memorable vacation for us, another cherishful stay for many many reasons. We have been in La Serra two times before (this was our third stay), and always again, it’s a matter of when we're going to return. My family and me consider this our "home in Italy" and the Matteucci family are “our Italian relatives”. We cannot imagine a vacation in Tuscany (or even Italy) without our stay in La Serra. We always rent ‘La Casina’, the perfect accommodation for our stay with two children (aged 2 and 8). There is ample space for friends or family to visit us for a short stay of a few days. The grounds are impeccably well kept, lush and colourful, the swimming pool area is a serene place to rest and relax. The Matteucci family are the perfect host for our wishes on a vacation: they provide space for each visiting family to enjoy Italian life in their own pace, and their gracious hospitality is offered according to each family’s longings. If we regret one thing, it’s that this year the family couldn’t organize one of her much appreciated Italian dinners because the family’s cook was enabled. However, Stefania and her family invite dus in their own house and prepared us a meal, far better than our favourite nearby restaurant. Our 2-year old daughter felt immediately at home and confiscated Artu, the family dog as her private toy. The location of La Serra is almost perfect. All the points of interest and things to do in Tuscany are just a short drive away (no more than a 2 hours trip by car). The location is suited for wine lovers, culture explorers, food addicts, sports fanates or just people who are interested in taking in the charm of nearby villages. La Serra emphasises happiness, quietness, natural beauty and the Matteucci’s stress on hospitality, well-being and friendship. Another advantage of its location: you can easily spend half a day at the pool and then visit a Tuscan town during the other half. The grounds surrounding the appartments and “casas” are beautiful and every morning you can meet the “nonna” maintaining its beauty. We could tell many more things we’ve enjoyed, but even now, the Matteucci’s are booked for nearly whole next year’s vacation period. No wonder, when you offer nearly perfect holidays…

THE TOP OF THE BILL
Siamo stati alla Serra durante una settimana. Era il nostro primo viaggio insieme a Toscana ma certo non l'ultimo !!! Il tempo faceva bello. La Serra era vero un posto per non avere stress. Tutto era OK. Stefania e sua famiglia erano formidabile, gentile, accogliente !!! Gli appartimenti erano puliti bene e la piscina era "THE TOP OF THE BILL" che vuole dire "FORMIDABILE" Ritoreneremo presto a questo posto!

We stayed at La Serra for 2 weeks (appartment Elisa). This small scale agriturismo is located centrally in Tuscany (near interstate Fi-Pi-Li) and the surroundings are peaceful. The property is very well maintained, good facilities and nice owners. We enjoyed the serenity and hospitality.

Soggiornando in questo agriturismo ho riscoperto cosa vuol dire pace e tranquillita'. Posto stupendo, circondato da natura, pulitissimo e tenuto bene dagli infaticabili gestori. My wife and I had rented “La Casina” house on the La Serra estate in the 1st 2 weeks of Sep. 2008. We are experienced travellers and have previously rented houses and apartments in several other countries, but this was our first rental in Tuscany, Italy. We had selected “La Serra” for 3 reasons, the central geographical location in Tuscany, the 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house “La Casina”, and the pool. “La Serra” is a family owned and operated Agriturismo. Upon arrival we were received by the daughter of the family, who turned out to speak excellent English. The house “La Casina” turned out to meet all our needs and expectations, nice and cool indoor (the walls are about 80 cm thick), with a nice kitchen, 2 large bedrooms each with a nice clean bathroom, and last but not least a wonderful porch where all our meals from breakfast to dinner took place. The estate is equipped with a very nice and well maintained pool, well equipped with seating arrangements. That the pool is placed in the midst of an olive grove overlooking the surrounding vineyards is the little extra that adds to the overall enjoyment. The family is extremely friendly and hospitable, and any linguistic shortcomings are generously compensated by warm smiles and a strong desire to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We enjoyed our stay at “La Serra” tremendously and will certainly recommend it to our friends and family, and anybody reading this.

Vacanze super rilassanti in un agriturismo immerso nel verde del bosco e degli ulivi. Il canto dei grilli e delle cicale ti tengono compagnia durante le sere d'estate seduti sotto il gazebo bevendo un caffè e mangiando un buon dolcetto..... CHE PACE! Confortevole la piscina, non abbiamo mai avuto bruciore agli occhi grazie all'impianto di sterilizzazione a sale. Famiglia ospitale e pronta a soddisfare le varie esigenze degli ospiti. VERAMENTE OK.

We stayed at La Serra mid September for one week. We loved our stay, close to so many sites, many small local villages with good food near by. Close to supermakets and Pisa but you would never know it by the serenity we experienced during our stay. Our hosts were wonderful and made us feel at home. We hope to return.
